Weddings on a Lake~

Paige and Ej's meeting at Starbuck's went well until little Julian, their one year old accidentally spilled my Caramel Macchiato, being the most cutest baby in the world we smiled and just had waitress get another.....We had gone over what the kind of shots  were they wanted.  She was worried about being too nervous prior to the ceremony. So Paul came up with the idea to blindfold the groom, so the bride could see him and talk to him and not see her in her dress.  These shots turned out to be some of the most memorable shots we've ever created for a wedding.  We like to engage a new bride with all the details, as it helps to make her feel comfortable while working along side the photographer on the wedding day.  It was our first time to photograph near a lakeside in a gazebo - it wasn't the first for sea-side wedding though, as we've had a couple weddings on location, at the many beaches from here to the Northeast. 

P & E's wedding weekend that was very emotional as most weddings are. When Paige first contacted me, she mentioned they really were trying to plan something more along the lines of an anti-wedding, wedding.  I told her we are their photographer!  I love when people request what seems to capture the essence of who they are and what suits them.  I like any thing but a cookie-cutter, average or expected wedding format.  Instead we relish in doing for them an album that will display all their love. Something that would be withstand the test of time and a [fall in love with forever] keepsake album.  

They had an intimate marriage ceremony on a Saturday.  Immediately celebrated at a friends clubhouse....near the home at the location by lakeside.  Paul and I were super delighted to capture a few of these moments!  It's been a real challenge choosing which images to blog and what to say about our time with them with such a fantastic wedding party. We wanted to say with these pictures how this couple exude the meaning of a love.

Their warmth, patience, and sincerity is overwhelming.  It would be honest for me to say we felt more like guests when we were with them and their friends and families. I know the vows that were spoken from Paige were most memorable for me and that they truly reflected what you would hope to hear a bride say. Paige said to Ej in her vows the most unforgettable quote from Zeus,

“A true hero isn't measured by the size of his strength, but by the size of his heart.”      

to start out.  I know I was paying attention! I truly hope our images can reflect how genuinely loved and loving these two are. 

The weekend was a "10" in the weather forcast . Boy it's great when a bride knows exactly how to pick a perfect day to get hitched!!!!
